Custom Designs

Custom Design The essence of personalization, our Custom Design service enables you to collaborate directly with our designers, led by Creative Director Gabi Colby. We specialize in wedding and baby stationary but are open to create any custom design you may need, from greeting cards to wine labels. We are dedicated to creating designs that reflect your vision with our expertise in design.

First Step After you submit a request for consultation, one of our team members will contact you via email or phone (depending on your location) to set up a time for the consultation and the process begins. The consultation will be held by phone or in person with our staff. We will ask you a series of questions and listen to your needs, wants and ideas. We will discuss your ideas, colors, themes, and budget and decide on an initial concept for your design.

Step Two After the consultation you will receive an initial price quote and preliminary timeline based on what was discussed via email or fax. With an approved quote, you will submit a 50% deposit, signed contract, and your invitation wording, then the design process begins.

Step Three You will receive initial design concepts in Adobe PDF format, as agreed in the contract and discussed in the initial consultation. These will polished layouts focused on the invitation, which will be the centerpiece of your stationery suite.

Next you will provide any feedback or changes you have on the design concepts. After receiving your feedback we will make changes accordingly, then you will receive a fully developed design of your complete stationery suite, which is your first proof.

Once again you will provide feedback on the complete suite, and get a second set of proofs. If there are more changes a third round of proofs is on the house. If there are any further changes and/or request for a fourth round of proofs you will be billed at $25 per round/proof.

Step Four Once all revisions are complete, you will receive a final proof with a request for signed approval to be faxed back. Once we receive the signed proof, the printing process begins.

Step Five Once we receive final approval via fax, we will begin to print and assemble your complete suite. This usually takes between 1-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the design and accents.

If desired, we can create custom address labels that are designed specifically to match your invitations.

Please note that additional charges apply for these services; unless otherwise noted. Please let us know during your consultation (step one), that you would like to include addressing. Please also allow an additional week for addressing.

Step Six (Final Step) Your invitations will be packaged and shipped via your preferred delivery method, specified in the contract. Payment for the balance of your invitations, as well as additional proofs, addressing, postage and shipping charges are due at this time.

Request of Envelopes If you desire your envelopes can be shipped in advance to allow you or your calligrapher additional time to address them. Please let us know during your consultation that you would like to receive your envelopes in advanced. We charge US $20 plus shipping for this service.
